Inspired by epic love tales like Heer-Ranjha and Romeo and Juliet, Ranbir Rano depicts the trials and tribulations faced by a young couple in love. Ranbir (Vinay Rohrra) is from an affluent family while Rano's (Sakshi Talwar) background is less privileged. He comes from a rich industrialist family whereas her father is a railway station master and a farmer. The serial takes a look at the class battle and power struggle that continues in present-day Punjab. Placing fairy tale-like emotions against a realistic background and setting, Ranbir Rano promises to appeal to all sensibilities. Love does not recognize hierarchical and financial barriers and Ranbir Rano portrays the duo's battle against all odds to be together. Will their love defeat all the odds against it and survive and sustain?
